The mission of the Women in the Workforce Program is to develop, conduct and disseminate multi-disciplinary applied research that challenges the disparities faced by women in the workforce and leads to innovative strategies to reduce or eliminate gender disparities regionally and internationally. The goals of the Women in the Workforce Program are:
Research: To create and disseminate multi-disciplinary applied research that increases knowledge of the causes and consequences of persistent disparities facing women in the workforce and positively impacts the conditions surrounding women and their work.
Education: To nurture and cultivate the education and training of students and new scholars with a commitment to the study of issues facing diverse women in the workforce.
Policy: To inform the policy process by providing knowledge on effective strategies for change
Innovation: To develop innovative theory and methodological approaches that advance research, education and social change for women and their work.
