More on Voter Turnout in Allegheny County

Posted on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11:10 am ET

Below is a map of voter participation in Allegheny County last week. The map shows data by individual voting district. Note voter participation is different from voter turnout. Voter turnout is typically a ratio of ballots cast to the number of registered voters. Voter participation here is calculated as the ratio of ballots cast to the total voting eligible population (age 18 and over).

This data used for that map, including summary demographic information for each voting district in Allegheny County, is now also online via fusion tables.

Also see new maps available via the fusion tables with a comparision of voter turnout in 2012 vs. the 2008 general election.

You can click on the map to open a higher resolution version.
