The mission of the QoLT ERC is to transform the lives of people with reduced functional capabilities due to aging or disability. A unique partnership between Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh will bring together a cross-disciplinary team of technologists, clinicians, industry partners, end users, and other stakeholders to create revolutionary technologies that improve and sustain the quality of life for all people. By integrating information technologies and biomedical innovations, the resulting systems will allow people to independently perform valued and necessary activities of daily living so that they can more fully participate in society.
