Center Director Richard Schulz's elder care research is highlighted in this article.
"Studies led by Dr. Richard Schulz, professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, found that older spouses who reported caregiver stress had a 63 percent higher risk of death compared to peers who had no caregiving role."
