CURRENT POSITION

University Center for Social and Urban Research (UCSUR),  University of Pittsburgh
Regional Economist,  Program in Urban and Regional Analysis

Responsible for regional economic/demographic forecasting and simulation. Calibration and use of Regional Economic Models Inc. (REMI) econometric models, industry analysis and competitiveness research for the Pittsburgh Region.  Projects include annual economic forecasts for Allegheny County and the Pittsburgh region, analysis of migration trends in the Pittsburgh region, analysis of local government finances and fragmentation and   impact of demographic changes on the regional economy.  Founding editor of the Pittsburgh Economic Quarterly. Manager for UCSUR's program as a research affiliate of the Pennsylvania State Data Center. Project manager for UCSUR contracts with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation (SPC) supporting regional forecasting and economic impact analysis. Also responsible for work with the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance in support of economic impact analysis supporting their business attraction and marketing programs.
