Steven D. Manners Faculty Development Awards
In memory of Steven D. Manners, who began working at the Center in 1974 and served as its Assistant
Director from 1989 until his death in September 2000. UCSUR initiated a Faculty
Development Awards program in recognition of Mr. Manners´ Contributions to the Center and
the University community. UCSUR offers annually two awards of up to $10,000
each. Faculty may apply for awards in two categories:
- Research Development Grants to support pilot research in the social, behavioral, and policy sciences
- Infrastructure Development Awards aimed at enhancing faculty capabilities to carry out interdisciplinary research in the social, behavioral, and policy sciences
