A fundamental part of the Center's mission is to maintain first-rate survey research and electronic data processing capabilities. In keeping with this objective, UCSUR's Survey Research Program (SRP) provides:

• A quality survey research and data processing infrastructure, featuring a 32-station computer- assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) facility, which supports the Center's externally-funded research projects;
  
  
• Technical assistance to University faculty and administrators in carrying out their research, both external and internal to the University;
  
  
• Service to the community in the form of technical assistance in research endeavors;
  
  
• A liaison between the U.S. Census Bureau and the Pennsylvania State Data Center for academic and public users of Census data through UCSUR's State Data Center Program.
